Miss E

July 2018

As a photographer, it is important to grow. Each one of us develops our own style, and it's great to stay true to that style. It's a great basis of what your work feels like overall, as a whole. However, in order to make it in this world, sometimes you need to embrace other possibilities; to move a bit outside that comfort zone. It makes us that much more versatile. I've already mentioned how my work is evolving to a more dark style, and this session with Miss E (an ELITE member and one of the ladies who did sessions with me before I started Silhouette) is a great example of being able to acheive both the light and the dark.

When I started learning to underexpose my boudoir photographs, I realized that where the light falls on the subject is more important that how much light is falling on them. Learning to see the important highlights and creating a little mystery is what I love most about this style of boudoir. But that doesn't mean I want to leave my "light and airy" style in the past! You can see both in this session.

I JUST wrapped another session with Miss E, she participated in two of my mini sessions last year AND she signed up for another year of ELITE, so this is a woman who knows how to appreciate the art! You'll be seeing more of her soon.
